Arbor
Day 2008 - Beatrice Gilmore School -
West Paterson, NJ
On April 25, 2008, NJLCA joined
the student body and staff at
Beatrice Gilmore School in West
Paterson and planted a tree in
honor of Arbor Day. With
over 300 people in attendance,
students recited the history of
the holiday and poems about
trees. NJLCA
representatives explained the
importance of trees and how to
care for them and presented the
students with seedlings to take
home and plant in their own
yard. Also in attendance,
and a great hit, was Bobcat Man,
who surprised students appearing
in his cape and hard hat!
