NJLCA LANDSCAPE ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
The Awards program is designed to reward landscape professionals who execute quality landscaping projects.
In sponsoring the Awards program, NJLCA strives to increase public awareness of environmental improvement through quality landscaping, and to encourage the landscape contractor's consistent use of quality materials and workmanship.
ELIGIBILITY
An entrant must be professionally engaged in, and responsible for, the installation and/or maintenance of grounds described in entry CATEGORIES and AWARDS.
Any size landscape for which the entrant has the main responsibility for maintenance and beautification may be entered. The amount of money in the landscape operating budget is not a criterion for judging. Rather, the judges will consider the quality, challenge and performance in maintenance of the grounds for a period of at least two years, beginning at least two years after construction.
All landscape firms which devote a major part of their operation to Landscape Contracting or Landscape Maintenance are eligible to participate in the Awards program.
Each entry must be accompanied by a fee
($100 for members). There is no limit on the number of entries per firm. Finally, projects may only be entered in one category per year.
Each of the entry categories will be evaluated independently. A jury of experts in these respective fields will judge the entries. Work will be judged primarily on the quality of work performed, including coordination of work performed, quality of materials and workmanship, and overall appearance.
Design/Build will be judged on the basis of the design, in addition to the above criteria used for installation. Plans must be shown on at least 1 photograph do not send original plans.
