 Several
years ago,
NJLCA member
Al D. of Al
Demuro Tree
and
Landscaping,
as a
first-responder
at Ground
Zero on
9-11-2001,
put together
a group of
Fairview
residents to
create a
9-11
Committee
that would
honor those
lost on that
tragic day.
They held
annual
memorials
and as of
January 1,
2011 the
official
committee
was formed
in Fairview
and
recognized
by the mayor
and council.
TD Bank
offered to
lease the
committee a
piece of
property
adjacent to
the bank for
one dollar
for 88 years
and the
plans began.
Yellow Wagon
Landscaping
created a
drawing of
the vision
that Al and
his
committee
members
described
and Al D.
approached
NJLCA to see
if his
fellow
members
would be
willing to
pitch in and
help with
this
project.
This
wonderful
opportunity
allows us to
give back to
the
community
and all of
those who
lost friends
and family
in the 9-11
tragedy for
this 10th
anniversary.
